Dra. Ligia Pierroti
Dr. Pierrotti is an Infectious Disease physician graduated in State University of Campinas (Unicamp) in 1993. M.Sc and Ph.D. in Infectious Diseases at University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 2004. She is currently an assistant physician at the Kidney Transplant Unit and leader member of Infectious Diseases on Immunocompromised Host Group at the Hospital das Clínicas, School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (HCFMUSP). She is the Vice coordinator of the ID Committee of the Brazilian Association of Organ Transplantation (ABTO) and is a permanent member of the Brazilian Standing Committee on Biosurveillance. Her research is directed towards epidemiology, prevention and management of infections in immunocompromised hosts, particularly solid organ transplant and kidney transplantation.
